Jerusalem Children and Community Development Organization (JeCCDO) is an Indigenous Non-Governmental Organization that has been working on children and community development issues in Ethiopia for more than three decades. In partnership with and the funding from Mastercard Foundation, the organization is implementing a project on Rebuilding Economies of Women in Conflict Affected Areas of Afar and Amhara Regions.
In connection with this project, JeCCDO has a vacancy for the following job position and invites qualified candidates to apply.
Job Title: Entrepreneurship Promotion Specialist
Number Needed: 1 (one)
Major Duties:
- Coordinate implementation of economic empowerment interventions.
- Guide Entrepreneurship Promotion Officers and monitor performance of their activities.
- Manage relationship and networking with Government, Partners and other Stakeholders.
- Manage budget earmarked for entrepreneurship promotion and economic rebuilding of target groups.
- Follow up and report progress and achievements.
Required Qualification, Experience and Skills
Qualification: M.A/M.Sc., B.A/B.Sc. Degree in Development Economics, Agricultural Economics,
Business Administration, Sociology, Social Work or Psychology
Experience: 8 years for M.A./M.Sc., 10 years for B.A/B.Sc. in related works. Experience in NGOs is advantageous.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to mobilize and coordinate and work with diverse Stakeholders and Community Groups at grassroots level.
- Adequate knowledge and awareness on safeguarding of children, women adults and other vulnerable groups of the community.
- Diligent, attentive to details.
- Good command of English and Amharic Languages both spoken and written.
Duty station: Addis Ababa
